Sasha Marroquin
Sasha Marroquin joined the Metropolitan Planning Council in May 2020 as Executive Assistant. In her role, she supports the Board, President of MPC, Mary Sue Barrett, and the extended leadership team of MPC. Sasha holds previous experience working in political campaign offices in Illinois and policy research.
Before MPC, Sasha graduated from DePaul’s School of Public Service in 2019, earning her M.P.P. and complete research studying the commuting patterns for lower-income high school students in CPS. Prior to graduate school, Sasha earned a B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University where she focused on a concentration of Latin American Studies and minored in International Politics. In 2020, Sasha was recognized by Loyola University as a Young Non-Profit Leader in their annual cohort.
Sasha, a first-generation Chicagoan now lives in Lincoln Square. She enjoys spending her time traveling, trying new local restaurants, and spending time with her rescue pup, Betty.
