Nicole (Laumer) Joyce
Nicole (Laumer) Joyce manages key projects at MPC with a focus on equitable green infrastructure and sustainable urban development. Prior to MPC, Nicole was a Climate Equity Planner at Greenprint Partners, supporting community-centered green infrastructure solutions in areas hardest hit by climate change.
Since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2016 with a degree in Human Resource Development, Nicole has focused her career on community engagement within the non-profit field. Nicole spent over six years managing volunteers at various nonprofits in Minnesota that focused on housing, hunger, and economic justice, including a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA. After taking a course in affordable housing in 2021, Nicole discovered her passion for exploring the intersection of social issues and infrastructure. This led her to purse a graduate degree in Sustainable Urban Development at DePaul University, where her coursework explores the intersections of transportation, food, water, and housing with environmental justice. Nicole will graduate in the Spring of 2025.
Nicole currently lives in Lakeview North with her husband and two blind cats. She enjoys playing beach volleyball, listening to environmental podcasts and curling up with hot apple cider and a good book. Learn more about Nicole on LinkedIn.
