Marc Garcia
Marc provides administrative support to MarySue Barrett. He has experience working in both the public and private sector. As an undergraduate at the University of California, he earned a bachelor’s degree in politics and a scholarship to study German and European Union Government at the Freie Universitaet in Berlin. While in school, he interned with U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and California Assemblyman John Laird.
Marc is currently finishing his thesis at Northwestern University, focusing on governance, ethics and public/private collaboration in infrastructure related projects throughout the U.S. He is an active participant with the Human Rights Campaign where he serves as corporate co-chair for the Chicago region and was also appointed last summer by Mayor Richard M. Daley to serve on the Chicago 2016 Youth Advisory Committee.
