Madeline Shepherd

Madeline is an associate at MPC and brings a background in transportation and economic development to her work on several MPC initiatives. She helps craft and inform regional policies for transportation investments; she guides strategies to improve government efficiency in Illinois; and she conducts research on economic and land use development for Great Rivers Chicago. Prior to joining MPC, Madeline served as the Manager of Outreach and Education for the Midwest High Speed Rail Association, organizing grass-roots support for intercity passenger rail in the Midwest. 

Madeline attended Northwestern University as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy and International Studies. She has a Masters of Urban Planning & Policy and a Certificate in Geospatial Analysis and Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Madeline hails from the plains of Kansas, but loves life in the city and exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods. She is a resident of Lakeview.
