Janet Myers
Janet Myers joined MPC in May 2016 as vice president of philanthropy. She oversees MPC’s fundraising efforts, including individual giving, foundation and corporate giving, planned gifts and special events. Prior to joining MPC, Janet was director of development for the John Felice Rome Center at Loyola University Chicago. She also spent several years at Rush University Medical Center, where she focused on major gifts during Rush’s successful $300 million comprehensive campaign.
Janet’s passion for nonprofit work began many years ago at The Children’s Place Association, a social service agency in Chicago that opened in 1991 to serve children with HIV/AIDS. Today, the organization helps kids and families confronting both serious health issues and extreme poverty, and Janet is proud to still be involved. A lifelong Chicagoan, Janet received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Loyola University Chicago. She is a member of the Auxiliary Board at the Chicago Architecture Foundation and has lent her fundraising experience to a wide variety of nonprofits in a volunteer capacity. Janet is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Janet lives in the Humboldt Park community, on the Near West Side of Chicago.
