Anne Dodge

Anne Dodge brings a proven track record at the intersection of social innovation, resource development and organizational change, and urban policy here in Chicago and nationally.
Most recently, Anne served as Business Development Director at SecondMuse, an impact-driven innovation firm. In that capacity, she built partnerships and secured resources to grow initiatives in responsible and ethical technology, gender equity in tech, and youth digital well-being. She also advanced place-based innovation ecosystems, working across sectors to expand SecondMuse’s mission of creating just, inclusive economies.
Prior to SecondMuse, Anne was the inaugural Executive Director of the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation at the University of Chicago and also taught at the Harris School of Public Policy. At UChicago, she engaged deeply with data and theory around urban systems, building evidence-based pathways for scalable change. Her earlier experience spans cultural planning, affordable housing, historic preservation, and community safety through urban design, with a consistent focus on how cross-sector partnerships and civic engagement can drive equitable development.
Anne holds a BA from Harvard University (Visual & Environmental Studies and History) and a Master’s in City Planning and Certificate in Urban Design from MIT.
Anne grew up in Texas and now proudly calls Chicago home. She’s a mother of two who loves discovering new words from her Gen Alpha kids, and her family wouldn’t be complete without a dreamy rescue dog and an ungrateful rescue cat.
