Zoning & Land Use Assessment Research Findings: Affordable Housing
Affordable Housing is one of seven outcomes prioritized for Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC’s) Zoning and Land Use Assessment initiative, a collaborative project with Urban Institute and other stakeholders.
Diverse and affordable housing options (subsidized, affordable, workforce/middle, market, luxury) are available in every neighborhood including for the job insecure and unhoused populations. Key preliminary findings on the relationship between housing affordability and zoning are presented below:
