MPC Announces Anne Dodge as New Chief Impact Officer
Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) is pleased to announce that Anne Dodge will be joining the MPC team as Chief Impact Officer (CIO) on September 29, 2025. Anne brings deep Chicago and national networks and a long track record of taking ideas to action at the intersections of social innovation, resource development and organizational change, and urban policy.
Anne previously served as as Business Development Director at SecondMuse, an impact-driven innovation firm, where she built partnerships and secured resources to grow initiatives in responsible and ethical technology, gender equity in tech, and youth digital well-being. Prior to SecondMuse, Anne was the inaugural Executive Director of the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation, University of Chicago at the University of Chicago and also taught at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. At UChicago, Anne engaged deeply with data and theory around urban systems, building evidence-based pathways for scalable change.
Her earlier experience spans cultural planning, affordable housing, historic preservation, and community safety through urban design, with a consistent focus on how cross-sector partnerships and civic engagement can drive equitable development.
MPC looks forward to the insights, experience, and ideas that Anne will bring to our organization.
Anne’s appointment was recognized in the Crain’s Chicago Business “People On the Move” section on September 1, 2025.
