On April 1, 2024, Chris Conley officially joined Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) as Interim President & CEO, following the departure of Darlene Hightower on March 29, 2024. Chris brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of MPC’s mission, having served as a valued member of our Board of Governors from 2014 to 2022.

Chris’s extensive background as a designer, entrepreneur, and educator, along with his intimate familiarity with MPC’s innovative programs and initiatives will undoubtedly enable him to guide MPC seamlessly through this transition period. His leadership at gravitytank, Inc., where he pioneered innovative consulting practices with a cross-disciplinary approach and fostered a culture of significance, speaks volumes about his capabilities.

While Chris assumes this interim role, a dedicated search committee of the board is actively seeking a permanent President & CEO. Chris is collaborating closely with MPC’s senior leadership team, management, dedicated staff, and Board of Governors to ensure the continuity and excellence of MPC’s work.
