Undesign the Redline Youth Summit

How will we undesign the redline and build a more climate-resilient future for Chicago?

The Undesign the Redline Youth Summit sponsored by Elevated Chicago, will bring together young Chicagoans to contemplate the impacts of redlining, reflect on existing neighborhood assets and explore solutions to create equitable and climate resilient spaces.

Undesign the Redline is an interactive exhibit connecting the intentional and systematic racial housing segregation of the 1930s to political and social issues of today, through the powerful narratives of the people and communities affected by redlining and its legacy. Undesign the Redline’s Chicago tour is sponsored by Enterprise Community Partners and Elevated Chicago. To learn more about the Undesign the Red Line exhibit, visit www.enterprisecommunity.org

Elevated Chicago works to improve the built environment (the physical structures and spaces available to people) for greater climate resiliency, to increase exposure to arts and culture, and to improve public health outcomes for residents, without residential displacement, for people of color in ways that acknowledges racial inequities that have long existed in opposition to this work.
