MPC Chicago River Boat Tour
Join MPC on Tuesday, August 29 for an evening of exploration, dialogue and leisure on the Chicago River.
The event will begin at the Wendella Boats’ Magnificent Mile Water Taxi Stop where guests will board at 4 p.m. We’ll explore a lot of the South Branch and a little of the North Branch of the Chicago River, learning about recent and future development, as well as opportunities to implement the vision for Our Great Rivers. The vision and action agenda was developed through a partnership between Mayor Emanuel’s administration, MPC, Friends of the Chicago River and many more.
Speakers include:
- David Reifman, Commissioner, Chicago Deptartment of Planning and Development
- Carol Ross Barney, Founder and Design Principal, Ross Barney Architects
- Curt Bailey, President, Related Midwest
Come take in the views and learn from local experts while enjoying snacks and a cash bar. Please arrive promptly at 4 p.m. at Wendella Boats’ Magnificent Mile Water Taxi Stop to board. The boat will leave at 4:30 p.m. sharp and return to dock by 8 p.m.
Important: This event is by invitation only. Invitees must register ahead of time. Only two tickets are allowed per order.
