MPC Director Speaks on Introduction of New Housing Legislation

Senate Dems introduce housing legislation package

Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) Director of Housing and Community Development Emily Bloom-Carlin spoke on The Chicago Report about new housing legislation introduced by senate democrats with just three days left in session. Bloom-Carlin characterized the effort as “a response that has been genuinely shaped by listening,” going on to say that senate leadership and the governor’s office had been working collectively to build the strongest and most responsive elements of the governor’s BUILD plan in with some of the other priorities that senate leaders have around housing development.
