Ramiro J. Atristaín-Carrión, Managing Director of Atristain Financial Advisors, LLC. Previously, he had roles such as Vice President at BMO Harris Bank and Senior Vice President at Capri Capital. He is an Executive In Residence and Adjunct Professor of Finance at Brennan School of Business at Dominican University. In the past, he taught at DePaul University in Chicago.

Atristaín-Carrión is actively involved in leadership roles and philanthropy. He chairs the CLESF Foundation, which he co-founded in 2006. CLESF conducts annual medical missions to Latin America, focusing on treating children with lower extremity deformities. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Governors of the Metropolitan Planning Council as Treasurer and Executive Committee member and leads the “CSO Latino Alliance” of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a group he initiated in 2013. He also chairs the Advisory Board of Instituto Cervantes and serves on the board of Stuart Investments.

Atristaín-Carrión has published “El dinero en tu vida,” a guide to financial wellness in Spanish. He has co-authored academic textbooks and hosts the podcast “Tu relacion con el dinero.” He is a frequent financial commentaror, in Spanish, at Univison Noticias. Holding an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dominican University, he is also certified as a Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA) and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation. Furthermore, he holds the corporate governance certification from the NACD Corporate Directors Institute and is a graduate of the visitor program (European Union) of the Menéndez Pelayo International University, Santander, Spain.

Atristaín-Carrión’s numerous recognitions and awards include being an honorary member of the Academy of Management and an Honorary Professional inductee to the National Honorary and Professional Management Fraternity “Sigma Iota Epsilon.” Notable accolades include the International Award of Merit from IIT, acknowledgments from BMO Harris for volunteering efforts, the Graduate of the Decade Award from Dominican University, the NSHMBA’s Brillante Award, the Illinois Secretary of State Volunteer Recognition, Theotokeion Honor from Dominican University, and the W.R. Harper Service Award. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, he also possesses basic knowledge of French and Japanese.
